为确保香水行业的活动与生物多样性保护相一致，IFRA 对其成员使用的天然材料进行了详细审查。这项评估是与具有丰富《濒危野生动植物种国际贸易公约》专业知识的外部专业顾问共同完成的。此外，IFRA 还与国际调香师创作者协会 (ISPC) 合作，了解这些材料在香水设计中的创作重要性。
审查确定了四种香水材料，这些材料在未来可能面临受到《濒危野生动植物种国际贸易公约》限制的更大风险。这些材料已在国际芳香植物协会 2025 年工作计划中被列为优先事项，以便进行进一步分析。在下一阶段，IFRA 将检查这些材料的整个供应链，以确定有针对性的干预措施可以降低未来贸易限制的风险，同时支持保护目标。
