On 22 October 2026, Alexander Mohr PhD, President of the International Fragrance Association (IFRA), took part in a panel discussion at the 2026 conference of the International Federation of Essential Oils and Aroma Trades (IFEAT) in Bangkok, Thailand.
Mr Mohr shared the stage with Francis Chabagno, Head of Procurement, Fragrance Division, at Givaudan; Catherine Remy, Head of Global Ingredients at Mane; Tim Valentiner, CEO of Alltruix; and Xavier Blaizot, Perfumer and CEO of PCW France. The panel was moderated by Alain Frix, Director of Allchemix.
The session, 'Beyond carbon footprint: the overlooked indicators that determine true supply chain resilience', looked beyond carbon to the wider set of social, environmental and operational indicators that decide whether a supply chain holds up under pressure.

Brazil opens familiarization period for SisGen 3.0
Brazil began a 60-day user familiarization period for SisGen 3.0 on 1 October 2026. The updated software for the country’s genetic heritage and associated traditional knowledge management system was approved through Genetic Heritage Management Council (CGen) Resolution No. 53, published on 28 September 2026.
