Strengthening collaboration with Singapore’s chemical industry

IFRA Asia Pacific engages with the Singapore Chemical Industry Council to advance regulatory dialogue and regional cooperation

he fragrance and chemical industries are intrinsically linked across the value chain. Chemical regulations shape not only the production of ingredients, but also the safety, compliance and innovation of the many downstream products that rely on them. Close cooperation between our sectors is therefore essential.

The Singapore Chemical Industry Council (SCIC) has been a valued partner of IFRA and the fragrance industry for many years. Through ongoing engagement, SCIC supports constructive dialogue on regulatory developments and promotes the exchange of technical expertise across the sector.

In February, Caroline Li, Regional Director, IFRA Asia Pacific, participated in SCIC’s Regulatory Working Group meeting to discuss current regulatory priorities and regional developments. The meeting provided an opportunity to reinforce collaboration and alignment in the Asia-Pacific region.

The visit also coincided with Lunar New Year celebrations, where participants marked the occasion with the traditional Lo Hei ceremony, welcoming an auspicious start to the Year of the Horse.
