IFRA science experts shared the latest science on human health, environment, and safety assessment

This work, conducted under the auspices of IDEA (The International Dialogue for the Evaluation of Allergens), presents an expanded Reference Chemical Potency List (RCPL) with 77 additional chemicals. We are delighted to announce that three new organizations have endorsed the IFRA-IOFI Sustainability Charter. Recently, IFRA has welcomed two Supporting Members from India – Norex Flavours Private Ltdx and Keva Fragrances, Flavours & Aroma Ingredients – along with Kao Chemicals Europe. Their commitment brings the total number of signatories to 155.This milestone reflects the growing momentum of our industry-wide effort. We warmly encourage all IFRA and IOFI members to join this collective initiative, driving sustainability across the fragrance and flavour sector.

Over the summer, the European Commission launched a public consultation on the revision of the EU Cosmetic Products Regulation (CPR). The aim was to gather input from authorities and stakeholders on whether the Regulation should be revised in the coming years, looking at what has worked well, where improvements may be needed, and what areas should be prioritised.

Last week, IFRA took part in Instant Lavande, a professional event dedicated to natural ingredients and the future of fragrance. Organised by the Mayor of Grasse, Jérôme Viaud, the day brought together industry leaders, policymakers, scientists and educators to address the increasing pressures on the fragrance sector — and the opportunities for resilience through collaboration.
