On 3 February, par­ti­ci­pants of a Break­fast Event at the Euro­pean Par­lia­ment in Brus­sels dis­cus­sed the futu­re of the EU cos­me­tics and fra­gran­ce sec­tors in the con­text of the Omni­bus VI pac­ka­ge on chemicals.

Today in Ant­werp, IFRA atten­ded the third Euro­pean Industry Sum­mit, whe­re policy­ma­kers and industry repre­sen­ta­ti­ves revie­wed Europe’s indus­trial com­pe­ti­ti­ve­ness and the imple­men­ta­tion of the Ant­werp Declaration.

IFRA published an opi­nion in EU news outlet Eurac­tiv urging a scien­ce-based, wor­ka­ble approach to the EU’s Che­mi­cals Omni­bus pro­po­sal to safe­guard fra­gran­ce-sec­tor inno­va­tion and con­su­mer confidence.

IFRA has joi­ned the Euro­pean Commission’s Cri­ti­cal Che­mi­cals Allian­ce to sup­port a coor­di­na­ted approach to safe­guar­ding essen­tial chemicals.
