She began her career at Monsanto and worked at Dow as Vice-President for EU Government Affairs & Public Policy and global advocacy lead for chemicals and health.
Until she joined IFRA, she was Vice-Chair of the International Chamber of Commerce’s Environment and Energy Commission and Chair of ICC’s Green Economy Task Force. She also was a business delegate to inter-governmental bodies such as the OECD and served on several boards.
Michael is the Chairman of the IFRA Board. He has more than three decades' experience in the fragrance industry and has worked for Givaudan in a series of global executive roles, becoming a member of the company's Board of Directors in 2015.
Michael started his career with Givaudan in 1984 as General Manager in Hong Kong. He became Head of the European Creative Centre in Argenteuil in 1992 where he was in charge of integrating the creative resources from Givaudan and Roure. In 1999, he was appointed Global Head of Consumer Products and then President of the Fragrance Division in 2004.
He holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management and a degree in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.
