IFRA attends CAFFCI Fragrance & Flavor Regulatory Working Committee Annual Meeting

On August 26, IFRA’s Asia North Senior Advisor Leon Huang, gave a presentation Overview of EU CMR Classification of Fragrance Ingredients” at CAFFCI’s invitation.

The presentation aimed to alert Chinas industry of potential EU regulatory restrictions on such ingredients - a critical update, given that Chinas Cosmetic Safety Technical Standard takes reference from EU Cosmetic Products Regulation. This underscores the importance for the industry to understand the relevant background and advocate for key stakeholders to consider both scientific evidence and consumer exposure data when deliberations on restricting or prohibiting CMR ingredients in China arise.
