On August 27 and 28 Matthias Vey provided lectures to the students online on the topics of ‘IFRA Standards & the upcoming 51st Amendment’ as well as ‘Management of skin sensitizers including allergen labelling’. This has been a great opportunity to address young people who are on the edge to enter the business to explain the role IFRA is playing and to highlight some of the many activities we are engaged with.

“Sustainable Perfumery: The Art of Crafting Fragrances and Nurturing Careers” commenced in December 2025 at Hindu College, following the successful completion of Batch One, where all participants were successfully placed within the fragrance industry.

The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) recently contributed to the “Safety Assessment of Cosmetic Products in the EU” course at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), focusing on the practicalities of fragrance safety.
