Blog: Introducing IFRA to the Middle East

» Martina Bianchini, IFRA President

IFRA has a mission to become a truly global association - we are already represented by National Associations and Supporting Members covering 26 countries, and have the capacity to track and seek to influence policy and regulation in many more territories.

However, there is always more to do - and we recognize in particular our need to increase our presence in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

That is why I was pleased to participate in the Fragrance Innovation Arabia conference today.

It was great to join many passionate and engaged professionals from the fragrance industry in Dubai, and to allow them to understand more about what IFRA does.

In my speech at the conference, I gave an introduction to IFRA, highlighted our commitment to dialogue, and emphasized how our industry self-regulatory program helps to ensure the safe use and enjoyment of fragrance.

In 2019, we well continue our work to strengthen our commitment to self-regulation through more training, education and communication, in regarding the 49th Amendment to the IFRA Code of Practice and the IFRA Standards.
