Recently, a delegation from the China Working Group (CWG) of the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) paid a working visit to the Nanjing Institute of Environmental Sciences (NIES) under the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE).

The International Fragrance Association recently joined a joint industry effort led by Singapore Chemical Industry Council (SCIC), the national body that coordinates policy advocacy on behalf of the chemical sector there.

Geneva, 15 April 2026 – The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) has announced that Michael Friede, President Scent & Care and Member of the Executive Board of Symrise AG, has joined the IFRA Board, representing Symrise. He succeeds Claus Oliver Schmidt in this role.

Brussels, 15 April 2026 – The Omnibus VI proposal updating the rules for cosmetic products has taken a key step, with Members of the European Parliament agreeing today on a way forward. The changes voted on by the European Parliament’s committees uphold the highest safety standards for consumer cosmetic products whilst aiming to reduce administrative burdens and boost competitiveness.
