The event opened with welcoming remarks from Mr SangHee Park, director of the Foreign Investment Policy Division at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. Representing IFRA, I had the opportunity to share our vision for safe, sustainable fragrance innovation.
Dr Matthias Vey presented on IFRA Standards and skin sensitization assessment, while Dr Anne Marie Api discussed broader risk assessment frameworks. Professor Myungsil Hwang contributed valuable insights from a Korean academic perspective.
The day concluded with a lively expert panel discussion featuring voices from the Ministry of Environment and academia, fostering meaningful cross-sector dialogue and collaboration.

Its Annual Conference this year was a significant milestone in promoting innovative, humane, and scientifically robust alternatives to animal testing for regulatory science. IFRA was proud to participate in the events, contributing to discussions that shape the future of science-driven and sustainable safety assessments.
