Held in Singapore, the Forum explored the theme “From regulation to innovation: driving growth in Asia’s beauty and wellness sector.” It brought together experts to assess how regulatory frameworks, scientific developments and sustainability priorities are shaping the region’s fast-moving markets.

Caroline Li and Aurélie Perrichet represented IFRA and contributed to discussions on fragrance regulation, international alignment and the importance of clear and science-based standards. Their interventions highlighted how consistent regulatory approaches support product safety, consumer confidence and responsible innovation for companies operating across borders.

The programme covered a wide set of issues that are increasingly central to the sector. Speakers addressed baby cosmetic regulations, evolving rules in Vietnam, the classification of borderline products and expectations for Halal cosmetics. Other sessions looked at extended producer responsibility and sustainable packaging, medical device pathways, the harmonisation of health supplement rules and regulatory updates from China. Participants also examined the role of trade associations in strengthening advocacy and collaboration.

The event offered practical insights for regulatory and compliance professionals, R&D and product safety experts, brand owners and government representatives. It also provided a valuable opportunity for dialogue in a region where regulatory developments are progressing rapidly and where alignment is key to supporting innovation and market growth.

IFRA thanks CTFAS for organizing a productive and well-structured Forum and looks forward to continued cooperation with partners in the region.
