The Inter­na­tio­nal Fra­gran­ce Asso­cia­tion (IFRA) is taking part in the World Per­fu­mery Con­gress 2026, held from 23 to 25 June 2026 at the Mon­te­rey Con­fe­ren­ce Cen­ter in Mon­te­rey, Cali­for­nia, in the Uni­ted States.

Caro­li­ne Li, Direc­tor of the APAC Region at IFRA, recently met with Ms Yan Jiang-Ying, Chair­man of the Chi­na Asso­cia­tion of Fra­gran­ce, Fla­vour and Cos­me­tic Indus­tries (CAFF­CI), in Bei­jing, Chi­na. The mee­ting pro­vi­ded an oppor­tu­nity to build on the two orga­ni­za­tions’ long-stan­ding part­nership and to map out futu­re joint initiatives.Discussions cen­tred on three key areas: upco­ming colla­bo­ra­ti­ve pro­jects and workshop topics; regu­la­tory deve­lop­ments and how both asso­cia­tions can sup­port their mem­bers in navi­ga­ting evol­ving lands­ca­pes; and mutual know­led­ge exchan­ge bet­ween inter­na­tio­nal and domes­tic industry sta​kehol​ders​.As a con­cre­te out­co­me, IFRA and CAFF­CI offi­cially agreed to esta­blish a regu­lar dia­lo­gue bet­ween the two asso­cia­tions — for­ma­li­zing a com­mit­ment to sus­tai­ned, struc­tu­red collaboration.

ABI­FRA’s Regu­la­tory Affairs Mana­ger elec­ted to CONASQ for the 2026 – 2028 term

Gene­va, 15 April 2026 – The Inter­na­tio­nal Fra­gran­ce Asso­cia­tion (IFRA) has announ­ced that Michael Frie­de, Pre­si­dent Scent & Care and Mem­ber of the Execu­ti­ve Board of Sym­ri­se AG, has joi­ned the IFRA Board, repre­sen­ting Sym­ri­se. He suc­ceeds Claus Oli­ver Sch­midt in this role.

The Inter­na­tio­nal Fra­gran­ce Asso­cia­tion (IFRA) was plea­sed to par­ti­ci­pa­te in Paris Per­fu­me Week, orga­ni­sed by Nez, le mou­ve­ment cul­tu­rel olfac­tif, joi­ning a panel dis­cus­sion dedi­ca­ted to the key regu­la­tory cha­llen­ges sha­ping the fra­gran­ce sec­tor in Europe.

A visit to IFRA mem­ber com­pany IFF’s Til­burg site high­ligh­ted how inno­va­tion, sus­tai­na­bi­lity, and EU che­mi­cals policy con­nect on the fac­tory floor. The dis­cus­sions focu­sed on the prac­ti­cal impact of Omni­bus VI on Europe’s fra­gran­ce industry and competitiveness.

“Sus­tai­na­ble Per­fu­mery: The Art of Craf­ting Fra­gran­ces and Nur­tu­ring Careers” com­men­ced in Decem­ber 2025 at Hin­du Colle­ge, follo­wing the suc­cess­ful com­ple­tion of Batch One, whe­re all par­ti­ci­pants were suc­cess­fully pla­ced within the fra­gran­ce industry.

Gene­va, 4 February 2026 – The Inter­na­tio­nal Fra­gran­ce Asso­cia­tion (IFRA) has published its Annual Report 2025, mar­king a year defi­ned by glo­bal con­nec­tion, scien­ti­fic pro­gress and strengthe­ned enga­ge­ment with regu­la­tors, mem­bers and sta­kehol­ders worldwide.

In 2025, IFRA dee­pe­ned its enga­ge­ment with fra­gran­ce com­pa­nies, asso­cia­tions and sta­kehol­ders world­wi­de, deli­ve­ring seve­ral key milestones.
