IFRA actively engaged ahead of the REACH revision

IFRA steps up engagement with EU institutions ahead of the European Commission’s forthcoming REACH revision proposal.

In preparation for the upcoming publication of the European Commission’s (EC) proposal to revise the REACH Regulation, IFRA has intensified outreach efforts with EU policymakers. The objective: to promote a balanced and simplified approach that reduces administrative burden and compliance costs for industry, in line with the EC’s stated priorities. Several position papers, including simplification proposals, have been finalized and shared with relevant stakeholders.

A key moment will be the CARACAL meeting on 3–4 July, where a 30-minute discussion on the REACH revision is scheduled. IFRA will participate via the DUCC delegation.

Additional bilateral meetings are ongoing with Commission services and national Permanent Representations to advance IFRA’s positions.
