Bra­zil began a 60-day user fami­lia­ri­za­tion period for Sis­Gen 3.0 on 1 Octo­ber 2026. The upda­ted soft­wa­re for the country’s gene­tic heri­ta­ge and asso­cia­ted tra­di­tio­nal know­led­ge mana­ge­ment sys­tem was appro­ved through Gene­tic Heri­ta­ge Mana­ge­ment Coun­cil (CGen) Reso­lu­tion No. 53, published on 28 Sep­tem­ber 2026.

Peru’s regu­la­tion imple­men­ting Legis­la­ti­ve Decree No. 1570, the Law on the Com­prehen­si­ve Mana­ge­ment of Che­mi­cal Subs­tan­ces, ente­red into for­ce in Octo­ber 2026. Published on 8 April 2026 as Supre­me Decree No. 005‑2026-MINAM, it pro­vi­des for clas­si­fi­ca­tion, labe­ling and safety data sheets under the Glo­bally Har­mo­ni­zed Sys­tem, a Natio­nal Registry of Che­mi­cal Subs­tan­ces (RENASQ), and risk assess­ment and mana­ge­ment mechanisms.

Gene­va, 4 February 2026 – The Inter­na­tio­nal Fra­gran­ce Asso­cia­tion (IFRA) has published its Annual Report 2025, mar­king a year defi­ned by glo­bal con­nec­tion, scien­ti­fic pro­gress and strengthe­ned enga­ge­ment with regu­la­tors, mem­bers and sta­kehol­ders worldwide.

Last week (Novem­ber 2025), IFRA Pre­si­dent Ale­xan­der Mohr and LATAM Regio­nal Mana­ger Eduar­do Valle carried out a series of stra­te­gic enga­ge­ments in Mexi­co City, sup­por­ted by IFRA’s natio­nal asso­cia­tion part­ner ANF­PA. The visit rein­for­ced IFRA’s com­mit­ment to advan­cing coope­ra­tion, regu­la­tory align­ment, and sha­red inno­va­tion across Latin America’s fra­gran­ce value chain.
