On Thursday, 25 June 2026, IFRA President Alexander Mohr is joining the panel 'From Protocol to Palette: Creativity in the Age of Compliance'. He appears alongside Vincent Kuczinski, senior perfumer and board member of the American Society of Perfumers, and Sarah Erickson André, Vice President, Government Affairs and General Counsel at the Fragrance Creators Association. The session is moderated by journalist Tom Branna.
The discussion looks at how regulatory and policy developments shape the work of perfumers, and at the balance between compliance and creativity in fragrance formulation. A central theme is the role of science-based standards in supporting both consumer safety and creative freedom. The IFRA Standards set out the conditions for the safe use of fragrance ingredients, giving perfumers a common framework to rely on as they create.
The United States is among the largest fragrance markets worldwide, and IFRA works with creators, associations and other partners in the country on questions of safety and regulation. The Monterey panel reflects that ongoing engagement, bringing IFRA together with US industry bodies to discuss shared priorities.
