Informing the German speaking cosmetics industry on latest news regarding IFRA Standards

Matthias Vey addressed the participants of the German Cosmetic Industry Association IKW at their seminar Kosmetik und Recht in Munich Germany on June 25.

This event brings together global experts in science and regulation to exchange on the most relevant topics for the industry today. His talk focused on the fragrance industry product stewardship program and highlighted the fragrance industry’s engagement in ingredient defence using the case of Acetylated Vetiver Oil (AVO) in Europe.

Four more Chinese members join the IFRA-IOFI Sustainability Charter

The IFRA President, Alexander Mohr, PhD, together with IOFI Executive Director, officially welcomed four more Chinese members as signatories to the IFRA-IOFI Sustainability Charter during a ceremony at the ESG forum of the CAFFCI Annual Meeting. The new signatories are : Yinghai (Cangzhou) Aroma Chemical Company Ltd.; Boton Flavors & Fragrances Co., Ltd.; Sinaroma Tech (Jiaozuo) Ltd.; and Hangzhou Grascent Co., Ltd. The ceremony followed the IFRA and IOFI executives’ presentation on the fragrance and flavours sustainability charter’s framework and key outcomes outlined in the 3rd IFRA-IOFI Sustainability Report.Eight members of the China Association of Fragrance, Flavor and Cosmetic Industries, CAFFCI, have joined the Charter signatory’s community in 2025. This increasing number reflects a growing interest among Chinese F&F companies in global sustainability initiatives, reflecting their rising commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.
