Nature Positive and Business – An Introduction

Joint IFRA-IOFI webinar highlights practical pathways to nature-positive action.

On 8 July 2025, IFRA and IOFI co-hosted a webinar titled “Nature Positive and Business – An Introduction”, bringing together a broad community of members to explore the role of business in addressing nature loss and building resilience.

The session featured expert insights from Nadine McCormick and Holly Metcalfe of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), who shared practical frameworks for engaging with nature-positive action across value chains.

The event was introduced by Alexander Mohr, President of IFRA, Sven Ballschmiede, Executive Director, IOFI, and Jonathan Warr, Chair, IFRA-IOFI Sustainability Committee.

Participants engaged actively through live polls, questions, and feedback—contributing to a dynamic and constructive discussion around sustainability in the fragrance and flavor industries.

Four more Chinese members join the IFRA-IOFI Sustainability Charter

The IFRA President, Alexander Mohr, PhD, together with IOFI Executive Director, officially welcomed four more Chinese members as signatories to the IFRA-IOFI Sustainability Charter during a ceremony at the ESG forum of the CAFFCI Annual Meeting. The new signatories are : Yinghai (Cangzhou) Aroma Chemical Company Ltd.; Boton Flavors & Fragrances Co., Ltd.; Sinaroma Tech (Jiaozuo) Ltd.; and Hangzhou Grascent Co., Ltd. The ceremony followed the IFRA and IOFI executives’ presentation on the fragrance and flavours sustainability charter’s framework and key outcomes outlined in the 3rd IFRA-IOFI Sustainability Report.Eight members of the China Association of Fragrance, Flavor and Cosmetic Industries, CAFFCI, have joined the Charter signatory’s community in 2025. This increasing number reflects a growing interest among Chinese F&F companies in global sustainability initiatives, reflecting their rising commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.

IFRA welcomes new signatories to the IFRA-IOFI Sustainability Charter

IFRA is delighted to announce that three new organizations have endorsed the IFRA-IOFI Sustainability Charter. Recently, IFRA has welcomed two Supporting Members from India – Norex Flavours Private Ltdx and Keva Fragrances, Flavours & Aroma Ingredients – along with Kao Chemicals Europe. Their commitment brings the total number of signatories to 155.This milestone reflects the growing momentum of our industry-wide effort.
