Over the sum­mer, the Euro­pean Com­mis­sion laun­ched a public con­sul­ta­tion on the revi­sion of the EU Cos­me­tic Pro­ducts Regu­la­tion (CPR). The aim was to gather input from autho­ri­ties and sta­kehol­ders on whether the Regu­la­tion should be revi­sed in the coming years, loo­king at what has wor­ked well, whe­re impro­ve­ments may be nee­ded, and what areas should be prioritised.

Whi­le pro­mi­sing, further strengthe­ning of the pro­po­sal is essen­tial to impro­ve workability.
