IDEA Publishes Study Supporting NAM Based QRA for Skin Sensitisation

A new article in Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology reports that three quantitative New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) – Regression model, SARAICE, and GARDSkin – can generate reliable points of departure for skin‑sensitisation quantitative risk assessment evaluated using the IDEA Reference Chemical Potency List.

The study shows that NAM‑specific adjustment factors can translate NAM outputs into human NESIL values, enabling implementation of fully NAM‑based QRA for new fragrance materials without animal or human data.
