A visit to IFRA member company IFF’s Tilburg site highlighted how innovation, sustainability, and EU chemicals policy connect on the factory floor. The discussions focused on the practical impact of Omnibus VI on Europe’s fragrance industry and competitiveness.

Today in Antwerp, IFRA attended the third European Industry Summit, where policymakers and industry representatives reviewed Europe’s industrial competitiveness and the implementation of the Antwerp Declaration.

Geneva, 4 February 2026 – The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) has published its Annual Report 2025, marking a year defined by global connection, scientific progress and strengthened engagement with regulators, members and stakeholders worldwide.

Last week, the IFRA team took part in the CTFAS Regulatory Forum earlier this week, joining regulators, industry leaders and technical specialists for a full day focused on the future of cosmetics, personal care and wellness regulation across Asia.

IFRA contributed to the European Commission’s consultation on the revised Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) framework, emphasizing the need for clarity and practicality for complex ingredients such as fragrances.

Singapore, 15 October 2025 – The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) opened the Global Fragrance Summit 2025 in Singapore today. The two-day meeting brings regulators, scientists and industry leaders together under the theme Scent connections – advancing standards and collaboration across cultures. The program on day one focused on global standards, ingredient defense, regulatory alignment and a specific look at the Asia-Pacific context.

The Nagoya protocol, which aims for ensuring fair and equitable sharing of benefits that arise from the utilization of genetic resources in the supply chain, can be challenging from an implementation point of view when it comes to local/​regional legislation.

The IFRA President, Alexander Mohr, PhD, together with IOFI Executive Director, officially welcomed four more Chinese members as signatories to the IFRA-IOFI Sustainability Charter during a ceremony at the ESG forum of the CAFFCI Annual Meeting. The new signatories are : Yinghai (Cangzhou) Aroma Chemical Company Ltd.; Boton Flavors & Fragrances Co., Ltd.; Sinaroma Tech (Jiaozuo) Ltd.; and Hangzhou Grascent Co., Ltd. The ceremony followed the IFRA and IOFI executives’ presentation on the fragrance and flavours sustainability charter’s framework and key outcomes outlined in the 3^rd IFRA-IOFI Sustainability Report.Eight members of the China Association of Fragrance, Flavor and Cosmetic Industries, CAFFCI, have joined the Charter signatory’s community in 2025. This increasing number reflects a growing interest among Chinese F&F companies in global sustainability initiatives, reflecting their rising commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.

IFRA is delighted to announce that three new organizations have endorsed the IFRA-IOFI Sustainability Charter. Recently, IFRA has welcomed two Supporting Members from India – Norex Flavours Private Ltdx and Keva Fragrances, Flavours & Aroma Ingredients – along with Kao Chemicals Europe. Their commitment brings the total number of signatories to 155.This milestone reflects the growing momentum of our industry-wide effort. We warmly encourage all IFRA and IOFI members to join this collective initiative, driving sustainability across the fragrance and flavour sector.
