The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) is taking part in the World Perfumery Congress 2026, held from 23 to 25 June 2026 at the Monterey Conference Center in Monterey, California, in the United States.

The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) is thrilled to announce that the next Global Fragrance Summit will take place on 23 – 24 June 2027, in Mumbai, India.

Caroline Li, Director of the APAC Region at IFRA, recently met with Ms Yan Jiang-Ying, Chairman of the China Association of Fragrance, Flavour and Cosmetic Industries (CAFFCI), in Beijing, China. The meeting provided an opportunity to build on the two organizations’ long-standing partnership and to map out future joint initiatives.Discussions centred on three key areas: upcoming collaborative projects and workshop topics; regulatory developments and how both associations can support their members in navigating evolving landscapes; and mutual knowledge exchange between international and domestic industry stakeholders​.As a concrete outcome, IFRA and CAFFCI officially agreed to establish a regular dialogue between the two associations — formalizing a commitment to sustained, structured collaboration.

International Fragrance Association (IFRA) President Alexander Mohr and Dr Caroline Li, IFRA Asia Pacific Regional Director, met with Madam Tran Thi Phuong Mai, President of the ASEAN Cosmetic Association (ACA), in Hanoi, Vietnam. ABIFRA’s Regulatory Affairs Manager elected to CONASQ for the 2026 – 2028 term

Geneva, 15 April 2026 – The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) has announced that Michael Friede, President Scent & Care and Member of the Executive Board of Symrise AG, has joined the IFRA Board, representing Symrise. He succeeds Claus Oliver Schmidt in this role.

The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) was pleased to participate in Paris Perfume Week, organised by Nez, le mouvement culturel olfactif, joining a panel discussion dedicated to the key regulatory challenges shaping the fragrance sector in Europe.

A visit to IFRA member company IFF’s Tilburg site highlighted how innovation, sustainability, and EU chemicals policy connect on the factory floor. The discussions focused on the practical impact of Omnibus VI on Europe’s fragrance industry and competitiveness.

“Sustainable Perfumery: The Art of Crafting Fragrances and Nurturing Careers” commenced in December 2025 at Hindu College, following the successful completion of Batch One, where all participants were successfully placed within the fragrance industry.
